Beverly M. Richard's Page

My name is Beverly. I love working with children, youth, and adults. I am an adjunct Professor at Fairmont State University. I teach in the Education Department. I teach prospective teachers of grades K-12. I also supervise Student Teachers. Working part-time allows me time to volunteer at different schools, my church, and work in all areas in which my two children are involved.

Two courses I have taught are:

Education 3330; Elementary Reading Grades K-6

 Education 3331; Developmental Reading/Content Reading Grades 5-12

 Summer Institute PowerPoint

I attend a United Methodist Church where my husband and I work with the Junior Youth, Grades 4-8. I tutor Reading and Math at various Elementary schools. I help my husband with Cub Scouts. I will now be helping with the local High School Band. It's fun to be busy, but it's very tiring sometimes.

Personal Interests: (Not in any particular order)

 Singing!

 Playing Piano!

 Learning to play the Harp!

 Sometimes Walking.

 Spending time with my family!

 Spending time with friends!

 Serving my Father, God!

I have learned this summer that writing should be more a part of my life than in the past. It is a very creative, informative level of expression that I should be encouraging all of the children, youth, and adults that I work with to use more frequently! I am trying to practice what I will be preaching from now on to all I come in contact withJ
